Boxer Im Ae-ji made history on Wednesday, becoming the first Korean woman to win a medal at both the Olympics and the World Championships.
Im Ae-ji will leave Paris as the first South Korean woman to medal in boxing at the Olympics — achieving the feat moments after North Korea’s Pang Chol-mi became the first North Korean woman to do the same.
Im, 25, will compete in the women’s 54 kilogram division while Oh, 33, will fight in the women’s 60 kilogram weight class.
